Ek kan nie namens die 650 ander stemme praat nie, maar my eie belewenis was opgesom in meeste van die liedjies se woorde: “When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true.”…”A new fantastic point of view…now I’m in a whole new world with you…unbelievable sights, indescribable feeling…”

Dear Jonathan,

My husband and I (and our daughter Abigael) would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your sincere kindness and love in letting Abi sing on stage with you last night at the Pretoria State Theatre.

You have no idea what it meant to her. On leaving tonight she said “Mamma een van my groot drome het vanaand waar geword!”

For us as a family it was so profound for her to sing that song, as she is a living miracle. We were given the option to abort her with my 20 week scan as she was diagnosed with Spina Bifida and should have been severely disabled. She has been through so much in her short life time, but one thing, she lives for is to perform, dance and sing; all the things we were told she would never do!

To end off, when I lifted her off stage my Gynaecologist that delivered Abigael was sitting three rows from the front with tears in her eyes. It was just such an amazing moment.

We thank God everyday for our miracle. Thank you for making an impact on her that will last a lifetime. She says thank you and wants you to know she knows the Hebrew part of the song too 🙂

*Her Dad & Aunt were part of the choir tonight, you had them both choked up with Abi singing.

Kind regards,

Melinda, Arthur & Abi Beckmann

Watter wonderlike belewenis! Julle gaan van krag tot krag.
